You may be shocked by what you learn here, especially if you are a health care professional (HCP).  Misleading the front line HCPs, GPs and Patients about the true nature of lipids and cholesterol seems to have been very deliberate. In this interview Dr Sarah Pugh discusses this deception with myself. It worked and clearly encouraged statin use on a massive scale. The unscientific Good/Bad label falsely convinced everyone that blood lipids (HDL/LDL) were two versions of the one molecule – cholesterol.
